Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) & Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker & Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Rachel graduated and was shortly licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker practicing in the State of Kansas. Rachel started her career at Southwest Guidance Center in southwest Kansas and deeply enjoyed the variety of work serving this community. Rachel continued to work under this license while employed by Sedgwick County first at Comcare Crisis as a clinician both on site and in the field and then for Community Correction Juvenile Field Services as an in home psychotherapist for juvenile offenders and their families. Rachel also briefly worked for Via Christi St. Joseph in the Psychiatric Observation Unit while launching her private practice.
Rachel started a private practice in fall of 2019 and at this point began supervision & specialized education to be granted an independent license. Rachel specialized in clinical psychotherapy with traumatized people with an emphasis on Somatic Experiencing, a body-focused trauma healing technique. As a community-minded person this quickly became a clinic where sliding fee and not discriminating based on insurance became the bedrock or Rachel’s relationship with the community. Rachel is grateful to have a thriving private practice built on community trust. Rachel received her Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker education plan in September of 2023. This led Rachel to also license in the nearby states of Missouri & Oklahoma to further support rural populations. Rachel was also briefly licensed during this period as a Court Approved Mediator by the Kansas Supreme Court. Rachel chose not to continue this license as many of the skills became a part of her therapy practice with less focus on formal mediation.
Rachel continues her education passionately and can often be found reading a new book about brains, conflict mediation, social relationships, or any other human development text of interest. Rachel is currently studying with the Internal Family Systems Institute and is working toward certification in this model.

Rachel experienced going into Septic Shock in January of 2017. This left her with numerous barriers on the road to recovery leading to the realization that her body was reenacting going into Sepsis when experiencing minor illness like a cold. Rachel found this fascinating and started a journey in 2018 of attending Somatic Experiencing therapy and eventually starting with a training cohort in January of 2020.
